Project:

In this project we will learn how to grow a potato on water, and then I will introduce my yam potato, Mildred, and draw a diagram showing her leaves, roots and other interesting details. Let’s have some fun!

        • 1 yam potato, ideally small with one pointy end
        • Glass jar or container
        • 4 toothpicks
        • Paper towels
        • Black or dark paper, white paper
        • Graphite pencils (2B, 4B, HB)
        • Non photo blue pencil
        • Sharpener
        • Ruler
        • Eraser
        • Measuring tape
        • Bug box
        • Paper
        • Colour pencils
